It’s time to start getting ready to send the kids off to school again! Every parent knows that as soon as kids get home from school one of their first thoughts is “what’s for dinner?” or, “I’m hungry!” We’ve compiled a small list of some easy snack ideas you can have ready for your hungry kids as soon as they walk through the door.

Cut some apple slices, put pretzels in a bowl, and bring out the peanut butter! This mess free afternoon snack will hold the kids over til dinner, and not spoil the next meal!

Popcorn is a perfect after school snack! Buy some seasonings they can choose to sprinkle on top, or treat them to chocolate drizzled or caramel popcorn every once in a while. If your kids are older, this is something they can easily make for themselves, all you need to do is throw in some microwave popcorn next time you’re grocery shopping.

Quesadillas can be made easily, and to every kid’s liking. Throw some chicken inside, and add a side of guacamole, or just make a plain cheese quesadilla! Either way, quesadillas are one of the simplest snacks to make that you’ll be sure your kid will enjoy.

Rice Krispy Treats:
While a rice krispy treat might not be the healthiest option, it will surely bring a smile to your child’s face when they come home to find this yummy treat waiting for them on the counter! Make the classic recipe on the side of a rice krispies box, or spice it up with a chocolate drizzle, or different flavored cereal.

Energy Bites:
There are tons of recipes out there for different types of energy bites! Some of the most popular ones include peanut butter, honey, oatmeal, chocolate chips, etc. These energy bites are the perfect snack to eat after school, full of protein and delicious ingredients you can’t go wrong!
